Yes, we can provide routine foot care for diabetics, and highly recommend that diabetics get professional foot care routinely to prevent infections.

No - routine foot care is typically not covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurers.

We use specialized equipment to trim nails to help prevent complications like ingrown toenails and infection. We also assess the feet for any medical issues and can refer to appropriate treatment for any issues beyond our scope. We also provide patient education to improve foot comfort and self-care. We are held to a high standard for disinfection and sterilization of instruments. 

Yes, we process all instruments in an autoclave, or steam sterilizer, which is the "gold standard" for sterilization and goes beyond the CDC recommendation of high level disinfection. Clippers are individually packaged to prevent contamination after sterilization. We also employ other infection control measures such as wiping down all surfaces between patients.
